Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026

1. About this policy

This policy explains how HomeVault, operated by Home Vault ("Home Vault", "we", "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage. It should be read alongside our Privacy Notice.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. Local storage works similarly but keeps data in the browser until it is cleared. Both let HomeVault remember you between page loads.

3. What we use

  • Authentication (essential): your signed-in session token, so you stay signed in and only ever see your own home records.
  • Security (essential): values used to protect sign-in and form submissions against abuse.
  • Preferences (essential to the experience): small settings such as your last used view, stored in your browser.
  • Payments: when you open checkout, our Merchant of Record, Paddle, may set its own cookies to process the transaction and prevent fraud. These are governed by Paddle's own policies.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing pixels.

4. Do we need your consent?

The cookies and storage described above are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for, so they do not require consent under UK/EU rules. If we ever introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.

5. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings. Because our cookies are essential, blocking them will sign you out and prevent HomeVault from working properly.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
