Privacy Notice

Last updated: September 14, 2026

1. Who is responsible for your data

HomeVault is operated by Home Vault ("Home Vault", "we", "us"). Home Vault is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, login credentials.
  • Home data: property details, systems and appliances, maintenance records, documents, contractors, valuations and notes you add.
  • Usage data: how you use the app, device identifiers and IP address.
  • Support data: messages you send us.

Payment card details are collected by our payment provider, Paddle, not by us.

3. Why we use it (and legal basis)

  • To create your account and provide the service (performance of our contract with you);
  • To secure the service and prevent fraud (legitimate interests);
  • To improve the product and support you (legitimate interests);
  • To meet legal obligations where required (legal obligation).

4. Who we share it with

  • Service providers and subprocessors that host and operate the app (hosting, databases, support tooling);
  • Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of subscriptions, payments, tax compliance and invoicing;
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed;
  • Authorities where required by law.

We never share one customer's home records with another customer.

5. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed for the purposes above. You can delete individual records at any time, or ask us to delete your account.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a supervisory authority. We respond to requests within one month. Make a request — or ask for general help — using the form on our Contact page; choose "Privacy request" as the topic and we'll reply by email.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, private file storage, and access controls that scope every record to its owner.

8. Cookies

HomeVault uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in. We also use Google Ads measurement cookies on our public pages to see which advertisements lead to a sign-up. That measurement records the ad click and the fact that a sign-up happened; it is shared with Google LLC for advertising measurement and campaign optimisation. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked to accept or decline before those cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage. Clearing your browser storage also signs you out. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

9. International transfers

Our infrastructure providers may process data outside your country. Where data leaves the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
