Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 14, 2026
1. Who we are
HomeVault is operated by Home Vault ("Home Vault", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and Home Vault. By creating an account or continuing to use HomeVault, you accept these terms. You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and have authority to agree to these terms.
2. The service
HomeVault is a digital home-record service: you store information about your home's systems, appliances, maintenance history, warranties, receipts, contractors and valuations, and you can generate reports and receive maintenance guidance, including AI-generated suggestions. Home Vault grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the plan you have selected. AI-generated recommendations are general guidance only — not guaranteed predictions — and are not a substitute for advice from a licensed professional.
3. Your account and content
Keep your account credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant Home Vault a limited license to host and process that content solely to provide the service to you.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, including by:
- Using it for any unlawful purpose, or for fraud or spam;
- Infringing intellectual-property rights;
- Introducing malware, probing or attacking the service, or scraping it;
- Reverse engineering, reselling, or redistributing the service, or circumventing plan limits.
For AI features: you are responsible for your prompts and how you use outputs, for verifying their accuracy, and for having rights to any content you submit. Do not use the AI features to produce illegal or harmful content. We may remove content, refuse outputs, or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
5. Payments and subscriptions
HomeVault Premium is a paid monthly subscription. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms: paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Your subscription renews monthly until cancelled, and cancelling stops Premium features immediately.
6. Service availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. The service is provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
7. Intellectual property
Home Vault retains all ownership of the service and its intellectual property, including the software, documentation and HomeVault branding.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of these terms. When access ends, your content is handled as described in our Privacy Notice; contact us before deletion if you need an export.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Home Vault is not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages (including loss of profits, data or goodwill), and our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, death or personal injury.
10. General
You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Questions about these terms, and privacy requests, reach us through the form on our Contact page — we reply by email, usually within one business day. See also our Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy.
